As fans of The Count, we have very high musical expectations and so, when we heard of a band claiming to give tribute to him and his music, we were, well....a little bit hesitant to expect too much. But WOW! "you guys" did not disappoint. From the first note until, regrettably the last, you thrilled us both with your music. It was superb! Your professionalism
(and that of your band) is in the Basie tradition.

I've been honored to dance not only to their music at various events at various locations but also with them on tour in Swing Dance America and at my wedding. These guys are not only great musicians, singers, MCs but also great friends. Best wishes for future successes as well.

Hi George! I'm an aspiring singer who recently fell in love with the swing scene in philadelphia. I absolutely love the music and the dance. I am currently acquiring swing music to learn and am taking Lindy dance lessons. You're band is awesome, btw! I saw you and the Wailers at University of Penn. I'd like to do some networking with swing musicians and get involved with a swing orchestra/band as a singer. I do also play some instruments (flute, guitar), but voice is my main instrument. I truly appreciate the great music put forth by your band!

Caught you at Edgewood. KICK ASS show! You really work the audience. The music is impeccably Basie, great selections and tempo. ....But... why do you have a band called "The Jump, Jive and Wailers" and not perform "Jump, Jive and Wail" all night? I kept thinking you would close with it, that's why i didn't request. Also, the standard version of "Flyin' Home" would be better for "The Big Apple"... these are very minor quibbles. I LOVED the music, I had a GREAT night, enjoyed talking to you (Henry Shapiro introduced me, I play the trombone)

I'm fortunate to know George for over 25 years. The first time incarnation of the band I saw was way back when at The Red Parrot on 57th Street in NYC (1983 or 84?). George was swingin' long before this latest "fad" started. He's a trailblazer of the modern swing era, no doubt about it! It don't get much better!
